Now the main part of this kit is going to be the NXT. It is the size of an iPod with a loudspeaker, a monochrome LCD and navigation keys on the front. This is the brain. This is the controller for your robot. This has 3 ports on top for connecting to the servo motors and four ports on the bottom for connecting to four different sensors. These senors are touch, sound, light and ultrasonic.

The sound sensor will allow the robot to react to sound. The light sensor will allow the robot to detect light and color and the ultrasonic sensor will allow the robot to measure distance and react to movement servo motors. This is to ensure that the robot moves with precision.

You will receive with your set Ethernet like wires for connecting all of these sensors to the NXT. You will also receive software and a basic USB cable for downloading programs from your computer. Then you have the Lego parts.
